Addressing population subset disparities in effective pain management By Professor Bart Morlion
This webinar will address the health disparities in pain care which result from multiple factors, including biological, psychological, environmental, health system, and cultural factors and the progress made in developing interventions that target these multiple determinants to reduce pain management disparities. Additionally, it will discuss the methodological challenges in conducting pain management disparities research with minority, underserved, and other vulnerable populations.

Emerging targeted therapies and future interventions for pain management By Dr Attam Singh
The treatment modalities needed to manage a patient’s pain is unique to each patient, and with the growing trend toward personalized medicine, this will only become more important to clinical practice in future. This webinar will discuss the recent progress in pain medicine technologies and innovative and tangible approaches that are evolving to help ease the burden of chronic pain on patients and their families.

Professor Bart Morlion is the Director of the Leuven Centre for Algology and Pain Management, Belgium.
Professor Bart Morlion will address the population subset health disparities in effective pain management: Understanding the underserved.
Dr Attam Singh (MBBS, FRCA, FFPMRCA)
Dr Attam Singh is a consultant in Pain Medicine at the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, and Clinical Associate of the London Pain Clinic, UK.
Dr Singh will discuss the targeted therapies in pain management which may be tailored to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
