FLONASE Mono-combo Efficacy

Study design A (with cetirizine):

Multicenter, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, 8-week study evaluated 454 patients to compare the effectiveness and tolerability of FPANS 200 mcg once-daily monotherapy with oral cetirizine 10 mg once-daily combination therapy in the prophylactic treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis. Patients were randomly assigned to 2 treatment groups. One treatment group was assigned to take FPANS 200 mcg once daily in the morning plus 1 placebo tablet (n=227) and the other group was assigned to take FPANS 200 mcg once daily in the morning plus 1 cetirizine 10-mg tablet (n=227). A majority of patients reported experiencing moderate or severe seasonal allergic rhinitis for more than 10 years. Treatment began before the expected hay fever season and continued for 8 weeks.
