Rx to OTC header

As of August 2024, there will be no approved prescription versions of diclofenac sodium gel, 1% listed in the Orange Book, meaning it will no longer be available as a prescription drug. Voltaren Gel (diclofenac sodium, 1%) transitioned from prescription to over-the-counter (OTC) status in 2020 to provide consumers with a more convenient and cost-effective access to pain relief.

Following this transition, all generic versions either switched to OTC or were discontinued. To ensure a smooth transition and maintain patient access, we are accelerating the supply of Voltaren and informing key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals like yourself.
