Can my patients use a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HAS), and can I recommend my patients to Purchase GSK eligible products?

- On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law, with inclusions mandating updates on the use of health savings accounts (HSAs), flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health reimbursement accounts (HRAs). Among other provisions, the CARES Act reinstated certain over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and medications as qualified medical expenses for which HSA, FSA and HRA funds can be used.

- Under the new CARES Act, the following GSK products are eligiblefor your patients to purchase with funds from their FSA account.

-How do I use an FSA or HSA to purchase GSK products?

*Using your FSA or HSA will depend on where you are buying Advil, Voltaren, Nicorette, Nicoderm, Flonase, Poligrip, and Polident products. 

Certain retailers, like Amazon (www.amazon.com ) Target (www.target.com )  and Walgreens (www.walgreens.com)  allow you to use your FSA or HSA card as a direct payment by adding it to your account.

Other retailers, like Walmart (www.walmart.com )and CVS (www.CVS.com)  require that you pay with a credit or debit card and then submit your receipt to your plan administrator for reimbursement.
