Haleon pain management institute (HPMI) is Haleon’s endeavour to accelerate the science and understanding of pain for better pain management and outcomes.

HPMI believes that every pain matters. Every outcome can be improved. But it can only be done together. No one should tackle pain alone. That’s why HPMI is committed to ensuring all patients are heard, all HCPs are supported, and that no one feels alone in their pain.

Working with multidisciplinary experts, HPMI will improve pain management from the ground up, by delivering education and skills development for frontline care, deepening patient understanding and behaviour change knowledge and building scientific credentials through partnerships and research, to support patients and HCPs alike.

Vision: No one should tackle pain alone: we are committed to ensuring that an additional 20 million pain sufferers are empowered to get the pain management support they need by 2030. We have a mission to deliver this across three key pillars:

  1. Patient knowledge and support
  2. Science and research
  3. Education and skill
