Panadol Cold & Flu Day (paracetamol 500mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride 5mg, caffeine 25mg)

Recommended for the relief of the symptoms of the nasal and sinus congestion, colds and flus.3

Panadol Cold & Flu Day product details

  • Ingredients

    Sodium 0.06 mg (sodium lauryl sulphate), sunset yellow 0.4mg (E110). Contains paracetamol 500mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride 5mg, caffeine 25mg.3

  • Directions

    Always follow the label directions.

    For adults and children aged 16 years and older, take 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours as required, with a maximum daily dose of 8 tablets within 24 hours.

    Not recommended for children under the age of 16 and should not be taken for more than 7 days without medical advice.3

  • Warnings & Precautions

    Contains paracetamol. Patients should be advised not to take other paracetamol-containing products concurrently. The concomitant use with other products containing paracetamol may lead to an overdose. Paracetamol overdose may cause liver failure which may require liver transplant or lead to death. Concomitant use of other decongestants or cold and flu medicines should be avoided.

    The hazard of overdose is greater in those with non-cirrhotic alcoholic liver disease. Underlying liver disease increases the risk of paracetamol-related liver damage.

    Medical advice should be sought before using this product in patients with these conditions:

    • Medical advice should be sought before taking this medicine in patients with glutathione depletion due to metabolic deficiencies.
    • An enlargement of the prostate gland.
    • Occlusive vascular disease (e.g., Raynaud's phenomenon).
    • Cardiovascular disease.

    This product should not be used by patients taking other sympathomimetic (such as decongestants, appetite suppressants and amphetamine-like psychostimulants).

    Excessive intake of caffeine (e.g., coffee,tea and some canned drinks) should be avoided while taking this product.

    Keep out of the sight and reach of children.3
