Pronamel fluoride chart

A special formulation that delivers strong fluoride uptake*1,2

Pronamel contains 1150ppm fluoride in a special formulation designed to maximise intra-oral fluoride. By omitting components that inhibit fluoride uptake, which are present in many other fluoride toothpastes, this Pronamel formulation enhances remineralisation and inhibits demineralisation, strengthening and protecting enamel.1–4

Demineralisation-and-Remineralisation

How enamel is affected by enamel erosion

Enamel undergoes natural dynamic cycles of remineralisation and demineralisation,22-23 normally favouring remineralisation due to mineral-rich saliva, which helps neutralize acidity and reharden enamel.

However, exposure to gastric or dietary acids can demineralize and weaken enamel, causing it to lose some of its mineral content. If the acid attack happens frequently, the enamel does not have a chance to repair itself.26,27
