1) Pivotal studies: In 2020 two pivotal studies, authored by Searle et al, were published in the Clinical Journal of Pain that tested the efficacy of Advil Plus Acetaminophen.

• The first was a single dose study, following pain relief over 12 hours after administration.
• The second was a multidose study, with the objective of understanding if there was sustained pain relief over 48 hours, with dosing every 8-hours.

2) Dental pain model study: Published in the Drugs and Research Development journal to test the analgesic efficacy and tolerability of various fixed dose combinations of ibuprofen and acetaminophen compared to 400 mg of ibuprofen alone, as well as placebo.
