Panadol adult range: Pack size and accessibility changes
Pack size transition commences in October 2024
In line with the TGA-mandated changes to the scheduling of some oral, non-prescription paracetamol-containing products, Panadol pack sizes and accessibility are changing.
Larger pack sizes will be up-scheduled to S3 from 1 February 2025. These accessibility changes differ according to state-based legislation. Restrictions are greater in QLD and WA, where all pack sizes >16 will be moved behind the pharmacy counter and require advice from a pharmacist before purchase. In all other states and territories pack sizes > 48 will be behind the counter.

The changes to pack sizes and accessibility do not reflect any changes to the suitability or efficacy of Panadol when used as directed. There are no changes to treatment guidelines or recommendations for paracetamol use.1
